Welcome to Corona del Mar
Corona del Mar is a serene community of stunning homes rising from sandy oceanfront beaches to the San Joaquin Hills. This cozy community overlooks Newport Beach and Newport Harbor, and most of its homes boast captivating views. Often shortened to CdM, Corona del Mar is one of California’s most sophisticated coastal communities. Residents enjoy upscale shopping and dining in the Corona del Mar Village area and at Newport Beach’s large shopping mall, Fashion Island. Corona del Mar means crown of the sea in Spanish, and its gorgeous beaches and beautiful views make it easy to see why it was given this name.
Corona del Mar real estate is a mix of grand early-20th century homes and fabulous contemporary architecture. From the ranch-style homes and sweeping views of the newer Harbor View section to breathtaking glass-fronted bluff top homes, CdM’s exceptional homes are among the California coastline’s most desirable.

Things to Do
Much of Corona del Mar’s coastline is comprised of two sandy beaches, Big Corona and Little Corona. Also known as Corona del Mar State Beach, Big Corona is a picturesque half-mile beach framed by dramatic cliffs and a rock jetty that forms the eastern entrance to Newport Harbor. Little Corona is surrounded by rocky reefs and is a popular diving site. On a clear day, you can see from Little Corona to Catalina Island 25 miles offshore. Corona del Mar has plenty of fun events throughout the year for its residents. A holiday favorite is the Corona del Mar Christmas Walk in early December. This kid-friendly event features live music, food fresh from the barbeque, and lots of special activities for kids. June’s Corona del Mar Scenic 5K is an oceanview fun run with complimentary food for participants from some of CdM’s best restaurants. The CdM Home Tour in October opens the doors to some of the loveliest local homes all for a good cause. Also in October, CdM’s Sandcastle Contest attracts thousands of participants, along with skilled international sandcastle builders, who produce truly amazing entries.
